I only finished book 1 for January last night.
Time to step it up :)
Please tell me which books you recommend. Quick, easy, beach reads in the style of Sophie Kinsella.
Of course I've read all the Shopaholic books.
Oh, and I don't do vampires and such.... :)
Will blog properly tonight!
How is your week going?
I just read "Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie." Kind of a mystery with an 11yrold English narrator. LOVED!
ReplyDeleteFor easy reads you cannot go wrong with anything by Lisa Jewell, Marian Keyes or Jane Green. Most recent reads are The Making of Us (Lisa Jewel) which i loved but all of hers are divine.
ReplyDeleteAnother real goodie is Heaven is For Real. you will LOVE it. Can't think of the author but it is written by the father of a 4 year old that went to heaven during an appendectomy op. Quick read but really meaningful and just completely divine x
Oh, and if you want something a bit detectivey with a bit of romance etc try Michael Connelly. His Harry Bosch books are amazing.
My next read is going to be the new John Grisham book. I just knew someone would buy it for me for Christmas, but no dice! ;) Gotta get to the bookstore to pick it up. I've read everything of his. He's not my favorite author, but a good legal thriller once a year, I enjoy.
ReplyDeleteDon't beat yourself up over your reading goals...ENJOY that va-cay!!!
I love reading but don't get enough time to read. I received two books for gifts this Christmas and finished reading "The Whisperer" and a book by Nora Roberts. Needless to say I don't get much else done;-)
ReplyDeleteIt's a young adult series, but "The Summer I Turned Pretty" by Jenny Han would be PERFECT reading for the beach! Jennifer Weiner and Tana French are also pretty good for summer reading.
