Rocking my bump

I saw this cute meme over at Jayme's place yesterday and then I see Helene also posted today.

And who can resist showing off a bump after 4 years of infertility?

Not me.

I loved being pregnant. LOVED it!

Sarah from BioGirl was the first infertility blog I followed and I saw that she was so diligent in documenting her baby bump and finally we caught on at 10 weeks.

Every single Wed D took 3 pics of me and of course I had a maternity shoot booked for 34 weeks and sadly, the babies came at 32 weeks so I missed out.

My colleagues at work couldn't understand why I wanted to take pics of my big belly but I knew that this was it - the only time I'd be pregnant ever.

So at least I have these pics, even if they're not the greatest quality.

First pic is 24 weeks pregnant and last one is 31 weeks. The last pic in the grey jersey was taken on a Friday on our way to a Bat Mitzvah and is my last "official" belly pic. The proper last one is after my waters broke on the following Tuesday morning.

I'd love to see your belly pics if you have any. Tell me in the comments if you post on your blog :)

Can you believe how big I was?!

  1. I love your bump!!! Great shape. Not all bumps are great shapes. Love seeing the progression as it grew.

I absolutely ADORED being pregnant and I loved my bump. I felt thinner and more womanly than ever (as weird as that sounds). My skin was better and I just generally felt great. I had a lovely pregnancy with no morning sickness etc, so consider myself very lucky. Can't wait to be pregnant again (please g-d) - have 3 frozen embies waiting for me... :)

  6. Sooo cute! I remember reading back and checking on your blog a lot when I was pregnant to kind of compare notes. :)

I may have to do a post just for you! I don't think my last belly shot is on my blog, and I was enormous. It's the girls' 1st birthday on THIS FRIDAY! I have been having lots of flashbacks and have been a little emotional about it. I loved showing off my belly, I loved the movement and was totally in awe of what my body could do, but my twin pregnancy was HARD! The birth and afterward was hard also.

However, if we won the lotto or somehow instantly came into a large sum of money, I'd be back at the RE tomorrow. I LOVE being a mom, and am so incredibly grateful for science and miricles and such!!!

Can't imagine just carrying one baby... can you?

  12. You rocked it! I wish I would keep up with my bump pictures. I need to set a reminder or something, but my husband thinks it's silly.

  13. I LOVE bump pictures as well and I LOVED LOVED LOVED being pregnant. Both times. In fact, I would really love another pregnancy. But I DO NOT want anymore kids. I was actually very bad with documenting my pregnancy (both times) but I probably do have a pic or 3. Must look for them.
