What a great month of reading

Last month I had a great month of reading. About 8 - 10 books are average for me, but the additional is definitely due to not having the internet for 24 days :)

The stats
Fiction/ non-fiction: 8/5
Physical/ Kindle/ Audible: 3/2/8

The fiction highlights
  1. Every last one - Anna Quindlen (my first Anna Quindlen novel and it won't be the last - absolutely beautiful writing)
  2. The Park - Gail Schimmel (this was a gift from a friend and I loved it! This is how I like a South African novel to be written, not like Tannie Sannie. But it's really a novel about friendship and boundaries, one of my favourite topics)
  3. Uncoupled - Lizzie Enfield (I just really liked the story. This is about marriage. I'm loving stories about this stage of life - marriage, kids, career, and how they all fit together)

The non-fiction highlights
The Four Tendencies - of course. I adored this book, have 15 pages of notes and I can't wait to start blogging about it. I listen to every single episode of Happier, have read all her books and still, I learned such a lot about me, and about my family. Do I have any upholder friends reading? I want to discuss some things 1:1 with someone who has the same tendency besides my husband. D and I are both upholders, but I lean towards Questioner and he leans towards Obliger.

I enjoyed almost everything but these were just the 4 that stood out above the rest.

For full reviews and star ratings on all, check out my goodreads :)

What were the highlights of your reading month?

The less you blog, the less you blog :)

I have such good intentions but at the end of the day, I suppose I want to read more than I want to blog. Or listen to podcasts and edit photos more than I want to blog #sorrynotsorry

On the bright side, I'm so up to date with photos it doesn't even feel like me, best it's been in years.

I am trying to be a better steward of my time though so I've been tracking (very loosely) what I do every evening.

And now that I write down every evening what I did (again, verrrrry loosely), I'm aware that I have much more time than I think I do, and the same is true at work.

So I'm going to try to be more mindful so I can use all the time better.

But let's talk about August.

Life (and every month) is made up of both good and not-so-good things. It's just the way it is; as Glennon Doyle says, "life is brutiful"

Good things
  1. I had a birthday and I did a full birthday review like I do every year. Here's a little write-up of my process.
  2. Lots of friend dates, a podcast club discussion on friendship... but we'll talk about that another time
  3. I got all my work goals done.
  4. I finally tried out a barre180 class and as a result, I moved fitness clubs.
  5. Tried three new recipes, one for book club.

Could have been better things
  1. I feel like I missed out on some of winter :(
  2. Only had 1 walk
  3. I'm feeling a bit...weird about friendship. So yes, I need to write about that podcast!

What I learned
 This :)

How was your August?

Hello on the last day of October

I was thinking that I might want to start old-school blogging again.

I do often need a change of pace and I can quite easily hammer out a post for 15 - 20 minutes while at work.

At home, it's much more difficult because I'm practising in the evening before supper, straight after supper while D does reading with kids upstairs, and then I collapse.

Anyway, let's chat.

1. So today is Halloween.

My feelings are well documented on the subject here. But I'm thrilled our school doesn't do anything for Halloween!

Maybe it's all the unsubscribing I've been doing but there are only about 3 people I read/ follow that are into the Halloween so yay!

A friend has an issue with all the pumpkin wastage :) Must say I didn't think of it like that but it's true.

2. 11 days to exam time

And I think I will make it.... but I had a dream night before last, so vivid I still remember every detail.

How, of the 10 exercises, I was only able to do TWO and then the examiner said, "right, that's it - we've run out of time"

So I'll be practising DAILY til the exam. At the lifts, at the pause area, in the boardroom later once they all disappear.....

3.  Cooking

With all our realignment at work, all people who do the same job as I do are now sitting together. The bad part is the department only ever has at most 3 - 4 of us here at any one time (out of 14). Remember I'm an extrovert and I love the buzz.

The good part is there is someone who I'm very friendly with, and she cooks. I've gotten such a lot of good ideas from her so far.

E.g. you can cook chicken, potatoes, carrots with salt and pepper on low for about an hour and it is delicious. I've made this for my crew twice in October and they LOVE it.

Another tip - she always makes pastas two at a time. Then freezes the second one in the glass pyrex dishes ready for during the week. I used to do that with sauces anyway. But I did it this weekend with the pasta itself and it gives me such pleasure knowing there's a meal ready for us :) :)

4 - 10 - can be found here if you feel like reading about my October highlights and lowlights

What are you guys cooking in this heat?

So that was May!

This has been a very odd month.

Last year May was my first month of freedom. I can't explain how happy I was. I was home, it was a nice, cold winter, I went for walks with the kids, fetched them from school daily, cooked and baked, put together a really good course and one for the church.

And this May was different. I was not unhappy generally but there are a few situations I'm not happy about.

We've spent a fortune on this house in May on normal house maintenance. To be fair, the house looks good (the parts that have been fixed) but I feel oddly resentful at the thousands disappearing out of our bank account.

Strange, when the thousands disappear for holidays, I just feel joy :)

We're not finished yet and while we're still busy paying for things, I have to hold this budget thing lightly because otherwise I get tense.

On the bright side, we have the money to do what we need and that's always reassuring because there were many early years when we didn't.

The kids are going to be 6 next month. Did you hear that - 6?!

I've been feeling very nostalgic about the babies. They (C) are losing teeth, getting tall and thin (K) and are super clever. I'm 100% convinced they're much cleverer than D and I (and we were very clever at school). The things they say, the things they remember, the way they reason, the kindness and compassion I see glimpses of make me both very proud and scared. Mostly grateful.

C: Mummy, I love you the most in the world. NO, I love you second. I love God first. (I mean really, that's all I want)

K: Daddy, what is the most fun thing you like to do? (he took too long to answer) Is it playing with your super adorable children? (D said to me, "I wonder where she gets that") (at least they have good self-esteem - again, that's what we want)

Anyway, 6! How on earth has this happened? They were gorgeous chubby kids just yesterday, right?

Pilgrim's Rest

I had 6 socials/ friend plans on the May list. Two happened as planned, most fell off and others happened spontaneously and I ended up with 7!

Of course, this also happened and no, nothing is resolved nor do I think it will be.

tell me this is not the most charming pic ever :)

I just did my first new business deal which has been a TON of work but it's so satisfying to implement!

Other than that, work is still way too busy for my liking but I haven't had as much fun with work people in over two years so that part is AWESOME.

Yes and amen!
This month I have more goals than I've had this whole year. Aside from the stuff on the Organising Queen blog, I just feel like being a bit more private with my other goals. Like I need to put a watch over my lips (Psalm 141:3).

I will say that I want to walk more, sleep more, read more, pray more, cook/ bake more and engage more with these 3 loves in my house.

And I want to be on my phone MUCH, much less.

That will be quite enough.

On a scale of 1 - 10, how was May? Mine was an 8 if I just look at my goals page, but really, it feels like a 6.
What is your intention for June?

The blue door and thoughts on Dec, and next year

magnificent!

Is this not the best blue door ever?!

We drive past it daily and when we did our Santa ShoeBox drop-off, we stopped for 5 minutes to take a few pics quickly.

Picture it - sweaty gym person (me) with a camera directing the kids to stand right there in front of the door.

Anyway, as always, worth it!

So I did my goals review last night and it was... revealing.

My average number of steps has increased to over 6000 (6380 to be exact) - yay! HUGE for me.

The key for me was in LETTING GO of the idea that I had to get to 10 000 steps.

I started aiming for only 7500 which is when Discovery gives you 100 points, and because it's more doable, I reached it on a lot more days. More than the once or twice a month of reaching 10 000 steps.

Isn't that interesting?

#imperfectionrocks

I thought I didn't really do that well with my goals til I started checking back and the reason was very apparent - I had something like 15 socials/ events! Only 3 books read. Plus training two new nannies. No wonder I'm knackered.

It is this time of year though...

But added to that I've been going to bed after midnight most nights - the Fitbit tells me I  only went to bed before midnight on 5 days.

Still the tally was 90% goals done.

So for December....

I have my whole list of course, all 38 of them, but I'll only share things you may be interested in here:
  1. Get my sleep average back up to 7.5 hours (I did so well in October and it went downhill)
  2. Walk an average of 7000 steps a day... this is very ambitious since I'm going to be lazing around on holiday, but let's see.
  3. Read 8 books. I surpassed my Goodreads goal of 70 - am on 72 now, so I thought I might as well give it a good stretch to 80 :)
  4. Finish all November photos and Lord have mercy, there are tons. TONS. I almost don't want to take my camera anywhere. I haven't taken it to work for at least a week because I don't want more to go through :(
  5. Test one new recipe to make it to my 25 for the year (I'm thinking of Se7en's Christmas cookies ----> see pic pinned to Pinterest on right sidebar)
  6. Commission someone (!) to come paint and sort out the front of the house and if I'm not crazy after that, to paint all the common inside areas GREY. I also still have my eye on a grey couch....
  7. Have a wonderful holiday :)

Notice there's no mention of Christmas stuff.

I think we're done. Except for these optional cute things I keep seeing on Love-and-lollipops's Instagram account (I now have a crafts album within my iphone pics). And we picked some branches to do some washi tape Christmas cards for the 3 people we'll see in Dec.

D keeps on buying "stocking stuffers" (I call them presents) but I'm letting it go. The cameras and camera bags are wrapped and ready.

We had a deal to do house stuff for presents but D told me tonight he bought me a present. I still don't want to go near the shops.

I'm very good if I stay away but once I venture in, that's it.

The only thing we need to do is properly grocery shop once we get back from holidays... just in case there's load shedding while we're away and we have to throw out food.
#thisisfive
I very tentatively mention this because I haven't started praying about it yet... but I think I may already have my word for next year, and it's a good one :)

Anandi, if you're reading, you will LOVE it! :)

Right!

That's me.

Tell me how your November went, do you still know if you're Arthur or Martha?
What's on your mind for December? Do you have lots to do?
And more importantly, have you started thinking of your word for the year?

Whoosh! So that was June

Flip - June went by quickly... for me.

I still had some of that "OH MY WORD I can't believe I was in that situation last year this time"

Last year on the 24 June I applied for a new job for the first time, thereby admitting to myself that it wasn't working.

Crazy city!

Here is my June goals post.

Anyway, aside from all that thinking, I did a whole lot of doing. I...
  • wrote a whole 20-part e-course which ended up being double the work I thought it would be but was worth every hour spent writing it
  • went to 4 parties
  • got totally and completely up to date on my photos. All of our overseas trips are now documented and printed and organised in photo albu
  • read 10 books, 4 of them physical books
  • went on 3 official photo walks with big camera, and numerous others with the iphone or no camera
  • had dates with each kid, and with D 3 times
  • cooked and baked a lot (7 new recipes)
  • passed my Spanish exam
lowlights?
  • did not even hit 10 000 steps once in June (a whole separate Fitbit post to come)
  • only lost 0.5 kg (I lost about 1.3 when I was sick and then gained some of it back)
  • none of the friend stuff I planned happened :( but there were 5

For July, some of the things on my list:
  1. Launch the next thing :)
  2. Book holiday!
  3. Get through kids' party
  4. Finish planning my own party
  5. Make a wish list for D
  6. At least 2 1:1 friend dates
  7. Read 8 books (my last fiction physical book, Daring Greatly... and 3 non-fiction physical)
  8. Finish elevate the ordinary
  9. Try 4 more recipes while I'm on a roll...
  10. Read Proverbs with Julia
  11. 200 000 steps..............................
How did you do in June?

June goals and May recap, and more thoughts on money

I really had a great May despite the over-thinking during the last week.

Here is a post I wrote on my other blog to recap the goals.

I can obviously be a bit more free (how do you spell free-er?) here so let's talk more about money!

It was weird not earning a "proper" salary last month.

I haven't ever spoken about the leaving process here so let's do this.

I've always had my "live on one income" plan. My real goal was to live on the smaller income.

I did my sums nicely and really there is no problem if I wanted to resign - we could live on the one income but I still wanted D to heavily contribute towards savings during this time which is why I've made a budget and am living off a bit of savings and some business income. The side hustle business doesn't make enough YET so that I can fully live off it. I like this because I know the more the side hustle brings in, the less I need to tap into my savings, which motivates me just enough.

Anyway, the one thing I had to overcome was plain old fear.

our neighbours have the best walls for backdrops - there are 3 I can use :) :) Connor's always game for a walk; Kendra about 60% of the time.
What about all the money that won't be going into savings from my side?
and so on......

And God whispered quite loud actually... Don't you trust me? (OUCH!)

I do, because I'm a tither and I've always been more than okay, especially when it comes to money, so I set that fear aside.

And then when the financial lady showed me the state of my affairs and I was very pleasantly wowed, it was like God was saying, "see? I told you to not worry".

I'm not going crazy and am keeping within the budget without questioning every chocolate I want to buy. I'm still giving myself my same "allowance" and for May, I only overspent by R194, because I had to spend an extra R500 on Spanish-related things for my upcoming exam. So I would have come in under....

Do you give yourself an allowance or do you just spend?

Anyway, let's see how I do in June.

Also, these socials add up. R130 for a supper with friends. Will have to limit those to once a month, or start meeting in actual houses :)

I realised I need to have the savings totally out of my main account otherwise seeing a lot just makes me want to spend it. It's that business of mixing old and new money :)

Last night when I did the budget, I transferred money out, instructed the people to take another once-off debit and now I have what I need there plus a smallish buffer.

Enough about money!

Everything is ticking along very nicely except I need to get serious about the weight. I only lost 400 g in May. On the bright side, I didn't GAIN what with all the sitting around during the mornings.

Still, I have high hopes for my fitbit flex.

My goals
  1. Make dentist appt
  2. Walk 200 000 steps (SHEESH)
  3. Go to gym 8 times
  4. Spanish 4 times
  5. ACE Spanish exam
  6. Lose 2 kg.
  7. crazy party planning!
What are your goals for June?

78% and 40th birthday ideas?

Well, 78% is a lot more than I thought I got around to last month.

I did put "resign" as the first goal :) to start off the month with a bang.

And then we had a holiday and a 19-year anniversary at the end so a good finish to the month.

Highlights:
  1. Read 9 books! Discovered TWO new Irish authors - Pauline Lawless and Claire Allan - I read two books by each, and have another 1 each on the Kindle waiting for me.
  2. Left work with grace and dignity (at least I think so)
  3. DIVINE holiday
  4. Tried two new recipes (but I can't remember them - I marked them off when I did them and now I can't even think of it....)
  5. Two friend dates
  6. Really, really good financial news
  7. Finally made an album from 2008 UK & Ireland, and 2009 Ireland holidays. For this alone I feel like a rock star :) Singapore and Australia next up!

By the way, D was the one who voted for the mountains. Cat was right. Apparently they "centre" him :) (And I did my weekend to-dos).

In other news, my blog comments are not all coming through - I only noticed when Robyn said how she liked Laura's comment on the superhero post, and then I checked emails again... nothing... so went to the actual blog. Right, there they are.

I'm also replying to some comments on the actual blog...

Right, so onto May's goals.

I have 30.... a lot of them are business-y which you're not interested in.

My main focus is to get my health and fitness back. To this end:
  1. lose 2 kgs
  2. gym 8 times and Spanish 4 times
  3. start drinking my 2 L a day again (oh, it's difficult in the cold)
  4. one extra veg/ salad serving
  5. sleep 7 hours a night (I've already fallen into bad habits of staying awake til 1 am or later, and sleeping til 8 - 9)

(hopefully 2, 3 and 4 will make 1 happen)

There are 2 months left before the babies turn 5 (FIVE!!!!!) so I need to get the photo for the invite, and 3 months exactly til my 40th, and I have no idea how to celebrate mine.

Come on, you guys, suggestions please (that will suit me and the middle of winter)....

And then I have a ton of photo goals, like the holiday photos and so on.

What's on your list for May?

Please just share 3 things in the comments... and "survive" is a perfectly legit goal :)

I have big plans for May

but right now is not the time to tell you about them, mainly because I haven't ordered my thoughts or made my list yet.

this is the start - there are going to be LOTS of photos of leaves over the next few months :)

We got back from our holiday away and it was super lovely to spend time with my loves and have a proper break (physically) between my job and FREEDOM.

On the drive home, I asked the three of them, "Beach or mountains?" and three said beach, one said mountains.

Can you guess who the odd one out is?

What about you... beach or mountains?

I will blog in a bit more detail WITH PHOTOS about the holiday but it was... in a word... DIVINE!

We really need lots of holidays in Jhb, don't you agree?

is this boy not the cutest thing ever? (we left a note because the other two were napping and it was golden hour!!!)

This weekend I have 5 main things on my agenda:
  1. menu plan for the week
  2. to-do list for the week
  3. two loads of laundry
  4. review April goals
  5. do May goals
What's on your list?

One quarter down

People, where is this year going?

(if you want to slap me, that's fine - I also get annoyed when people act like the year suddenly changes its order!)

But really, I said to D tonight, "3 months down and exactly what have I accomplished?"

Well, I trained a fabulous course at church and had a holiday in Ballito. That's it!

But soon this will all change.

I've just done my goals review (you know this is my favourite day of every month, when I see what got done and what didn't) and.............................. 98% accomplished.

Which just goes to show when you're sad, you can still be productive.

Or maybe when you're super productive, you may be running from the sadness.

Something like that. Or at least a mixture.

The most fun thing on that list was me taking up Spanish dance again. An expensive month but most of it is once-off. And now I will force myself to go because I hate wasting money :) Win-win.

Another fun thing was getting my 2013 Instagram album done, and I've also done Jan and Feb of this year. It's hugely satisfying when all the photo stuff gets done. Thank you to Epson for the loan of the printer #epsonmomsrock.

Last week I found out that a friend of mine got a new job within our company. She is a superstar but still. She spoke to a few people 6 weeks ago, and is starting her new job next week. There is no official role yet but she's off.

I really fought the jealousy hard. If I didn't like her so much, I would have been majorly ticked off.

I did tell her, "seriously, 6 weeks?! In this company???"

But she reminded me that actually her dissatisfaction started 18 months ago and she's been speaking to all these people ever since. She just happened on the right people 6 weeks ago.

Okay then.

Anyway, I have big plans this month. I can't WAIT for our holiday and i know we've only just come back 3 months ago but it feels like a year's gone by....

I'll have to tell you more about the goals later this week because I'm in a new book :)

(Amazon one-click buying is really bad for me. I'll need to put myself on a spending fast soon...)

How was your Monday?

PS the traffic into and out of the CBD was all kinds of awful.

Where did February go?

Well, it must have been all the travel that made it seem so crazy but my February was about 8 days shorter than it normally is.

That said, my goals spreadsheet says I got to 82% of my goals - yayyy. I will confess that I really had to focus to get book 5 read in the last day or two :)

While I'm talking about books, I read Happier at Home last month and... I liked The Happiness Project better. The Home version was fine enough but not as great as the first book for ME!

If you've read both, which one did you like best?

Notable happenings in Feb:
  1. I did the training for the church course. OH! My heart is so full from doing this training and I've actually 90% decided to jump right back in. The only thing holding me back is, of course, the Elephant in the Room. Not only was my teaching and training affirmed, but also I just flat-out loved doing it. I LOVE seeing the spark in people when we discover their passion.
  2. I also "designed" (I use that term very loosely), printed and put my 2013 Instagram book together. It looks GREAT!
  3. I did 7 days of travel and did great work (I think). Well, at the very least, I survived.
  4. I met up with tons of friends last month, 3 of those in CT and 2 of those new friends! :)
  5. We did a fun Valentine's as a family. And I did cute stuff for the kids and their teachers (pics to follow when I start with Feb photos).
  6. I got my online career stuff and my CV updated and I can see more recruiters checking out my profile. And I applied for yet another job.
  7. And on the bad side, I got rejected for that job.

So let's talk goals for March... now that I'm already 8 days in....

 - important work thing to do
 - have some "conversations" - can you believe this is month 12 in this job?! I can't.
 - finish training the people who missed a lesson on the church course
 - put Ballito photos in album and take some photos
 - get February photo organising done
 - read my 5 books and enjoy them (I just decided to stop reading a depressing book about a woman in a mental hospital)
 - have a 1:1 date with Kendra and Connor

(I actually have 25 goals but I'm only sharing these ones)

One word for November

Are you as freaked out that we're in November as I am? What is it - 6 weeks til Christmas? ;)

October went far too fast for my liking and those were just the weeks, not even the weekends.

Still, it wasn't a bad month in the grand scheme of things except for the Thing That Shall Remain Nameless.

I mentioned this before but my friend Beth does a word (s) she wants for the month ..

this month mine was going to be action but when I chatted to Beth, she challenged me to add a descriptive word, so FOCUSSED action it is :)

Focussed on my goals, on my prayer life, on keeping my sanity, on what matters most in the grand scheme of things and not thinking too much about the details.

!

this amazing light fixture is in another building on the campus property - I always feel like I want to stroke my hands through those fringes :)

Interesting things that happened in October:
  1. We booked a holiday! In January but still, a holiday is booked!
  2. I just went onto Disc.overy's website to check my gym visits for the month - 6 plus 1 with my PT at the work gym. Then I got nerdy... as at end Oct, 28 visits with PT and 44 visits to my gym = 72 for the year and 7.2 on average which sounds about right. I know this is very low for some of you but for me.... awesome! Esp this year!
  3. One of the kids is challenging us 100-fold so I bought "your 4-year-old: wild and wonderful"
  4. % of goals reached for October = 96%. Sadly this probably means when life is tough, I put my head down and just push on with things.

Some things on my list for November:
  1. Organise recipe files
  2. Try two new recipes for summer
  3. Book dental appointments
  4. Plan lunches for the week as well as suppers
  5. Order canvases for Christmas presents
  6. Decide if we're hosting Christmas (I can't believe we're talking about Christmas)
  7. Laugh more!

What's on your list for November?
Tell me the top 3 things.

October is here... and a family goal reached

It's getting old to keep saying how fast time is passing us by, but it really is.

That's why I feel like it's so crucial for me to be as intentional about my life as I can be. Otherwise we blink and it's October, blink again and the year is over :)

Laura once said on her blog how I'm one of the most intentional people she knows - well, Laura, that was the biggest compliment ever!

Before we get onto my October goals, how did I do for September?

Amazingly well, thanks for asking.

I got 90% done.

The things where I fall down are getting to the gym and to Weigh-less. We've started a new tradition around here - the WHOLE family is now doing Saturday morning gym.

While it's something I've dreamed of for a long time, it's actually quite a schlep getting all 4 of us up, fed (the two littles) and dressed on a Saturday morning.

Connor and I are the fastest two in the house so when it was just us, we'd be up and out quickly, get to WL, Connor would get a sticker from Maureen and then we'd go to gym.

That's why I've missed WL twice - I told myself it's more important to establish this habit but then I was getting fatter, so the past two weeks I prioritised WL again.

Oy!

We will succeed!

The other thing is I didn't even LOOK at Elevate the Ordinary BUT I did 12 Santa Shoeboxes and they weren't even on my list. If I were one of my clients, I'd add 2 points for that but since it's me, I'm hard on myself :)

So, October...I'm not putting everything, just a few interesting ones :)

  1. TRUST God and keep praying not only for the job I want to have, but to survive this experience with my sanity intact
  2. Have at least 4 exploratory conversations
  3.  Drop off Santa Shoeboxes
  4.  Go to work on a Saturday for jacaranda kid photos
  5.  Play with Elevate the Ordinary – 3 lessons
  6. Lunch with K & B
  7. K’s birthday party
  8. Supper here for J & P
  9.  Lunch with Laura
  10. Book a holiday!

I ask this every month but what's on your list for October?
Top 3 only :)

September goals

I'm slacking!

I've only just written up my goals.

But wait, I don't think I told you about my birthday list.

39 things seemed a bit boring - I've done 36 things, 37 things and 38 things and I was totally ready to give it a break this year til I realised.... 40 before 40!

And of course, I then had to make my list.

I've already crossed off 4 for the year, largely due to that lovely photo printer in my study. I have lots of books on that list too - things I've always wanted to read but somehow don't. I actually have Bloom and Carry on, Warrior but at some point I'll have to just buy the rest.

One interesting thing on my list is my Santa Shoebox project. My goal is 10 boxes - I pledged 5 today and couldn't hold myself back so I was at Pep after work, shopping up a storm. It has never felt that good to spend R768 :) (about $70)

I'll pledge another 5 tomorrow just to keep me on my toes. I feel like I need to start stretching in my faith. I remember the days oh too well when I really had to trust God to even pay all the bills. The thing when you start tithing ... and prospering... is that you start trusting in yourself. And that can't happen. That's why I want to do the additional 5 and not take money out of my savings to do it, but believe and trust God to supply all these kids' needs. It's going to be awesome.

If you feel led to give a little, I promise I'll be a very faithful steward of the money and use it wisely for the boxes.

And now, the goals.

My friend, Beth, is doing a new thing with goals. Which words do you want to feel this month? And then choose some goals (I think).

Anyway, I decided to do it that way both last month and this month.
