We're off to church in the morning and then it will be a flurry once we're home of cooking, packing up our food and presents and making it over to MIL's house.
Normally, my biggest aim is to keep my expectations of the day low so I'm not disappointed. Here is another take on the crazy of life from Momastery. It will encourage you if you've not had the marketing department's version of Christmas thus far.
Otherwise, my wish for you is a day spent exactly as you need it to - slow and quiet if that's your thing, noisy and full of family if that's your thing, a bit of both. Whatever.
Or else you could just breathe deeply and wait to relax after 8 pm :)

ReplyDeleteWe're with my parents- it's always amazing so I'm looking forward to it. Obviously I would like slow and quiet but it's Christmas and it's going to be noisy and full of family. Am taking LOTS of Rescue!
Hope you had a good one and you weren't disappointed. We had a quiet one just three of us. Church, lunch, games, nap, movie. Perfect Christmas for me. Loved it. Lunch was roast turkey, rice, cole slaw, mashed potatoes and some fancy but simple mozzarella salad a chef fried made that I tried but of course as usual made mine.

Merry Christmas. There's a little boy at my daughter's school who looks JUST LIKE yours. It took me a sec to figure out why he looked so familiar! So let C know he has a long-lost twin in Seattle ;D
